Running back Cam’Ron Harris sustained a season-ending lower-body injury in UM’s loss to North Carolina on Saturday, Miami coach Manny Diaz said during his weekly Monday morning appearance on 560-WQAM.
“Cam had been one of our guys that has really stepped up as a leader,” Diaz said. “He had been named captain in the two weeks since the Virginia game. Another tough blow to the team, not just because of who he was as a player, but also because of who he was as a person.”
Harris sustained the injury at the start of the third quarter after opening the second half with a 22-yard run.
