CORAL GABLES — After making the game-saving tackle in the Miami Hurricanes’ win over N.C. State last Saturday, it was reasonable to expect that Kam Kinchens would continue to see his role grow for UM’s road matchup against No. 17 Pittsburgh on Saturday after playing a career-high 49 snaps in the game against the Wolfpack.
Kinchens, a true freshman safety out of Miami Northwestern High, has factored into Miami’s defensive game plan more with each passing week over the past month and appeared to surpass former starting safety Gurvan Hall Jr. in the depth chart against N.C. State.
