Miami Hurricanes quarterback D’Eriq King, who injured his right shoulder against Michigan State on Sept. 18, will get season-ending shoulder surgery and Tyler Van Dyke will be UM’s starter going forward, Miami coach Manny Diaz said Monday morning on 560-WQAM.
“The day after the Michigan State game, we knew that odds are the injury he suffered in his shoulder would probably need a surgery to correct it and if he had to had the surgery, that would end his season,” Diaz said. “There was a narrow avenue that he could rehab it, potentially come back and be able to play this season without needing the surgery.
