Mario Cristobal is switching up his coaching staff in the middle of spring practices.
The Hurricanes will promote quality control analyst Cody Woodiel to tight ends coach while former tight ends coach Stephen Field will take a position in Miami’s recruiting department, a source told the South Florida Sun Sentinel on Monday.
Woodiel, who is considered a rising star in the coaching industry, joined Miami’s staff as an analyst last year. He helped coach tight ends and recruited on the road when the Hurricanes did not have a full coaching staff in place this winter.
