Whoever says baseball is boring clearly hasn’t watched the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Gators square off.
In just the second game of the season, a 13-inning thriller ended in a 10-9 victory for Miami over the nation’s top-ranked team.
The Gators entered the ninth inning with a three-run lead, but Florida pitcher Franco Aleman walked in three runs, allowing the game to tie at 8-8 and head to extra innings.
After a scoreless 10th, 11th and 12th inning, Christian Del Castillo and Ben Wanger walked to start the 13th inning before Raymond Gil, pinch-hitting, hit an RBI single to break the tie and put the Hurricanes ahead 9-8.
