The Miami Hurricanes did not only get good news ahead of the first day of the Early Signing Period.
Tight end prospect Reid Mikeska flipped his commitment from Miami to South Carolina Tuesday evening after having been committed to the Hurricanes since June 19.
Mikeska, a Texas native, is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 45 tight end in the 2023 class. He had 21 catches for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns as a senior.
Mikeska, who is listed at 6-5 1/2 and 233 pounds, was one of three tight ends in Miami’s 2023 class, along with four-star prospect Riley Williams and Jackson Carver.
