A Hurricanes legacy announced he will be leaving Miami, and another key player will be departing as well.
Defensive back Al Blades Jr. announced Thursday that he intends to enter the transfer portal after five seasons with the Hurricanes. Blades is the son of late former Hurricanes defensive back Al Blades.
“I love this school and city and it will always be home,” Blades wrote on his Twitter account. “The fans and city have shown me love since high school. This one hurts but I’ll never forget my time as a Cane.”
Wide receiver Key’Shawn Smith will also enter the transfer portal, a source told the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
