As a redshirt freshman in 2019, Greg Rousseau was one of the shining stars in a difficult season for the Miami Hurricanes football team. Rousseau finished the season seventh nationally with 19.5 tackles for loss and second with 15.5 sacks. Only Heisman Trophy finalist Chase Young eclipsed Rousseau sack total with 16.5.
Most players that had the kind of season Rousseau did will face far more attention from the opposition the following season. Miami has replaced the departure of junior defensive end Jonathan Garvin with 2019 All-American defensive end Quincy Roche as a graduate transfer from Temple.
