Chaminade-Madonna standout Edwin Joseph commits to Florida State over Hurricanes

HOLLYWOOD — The Hurricanes have had luck at Chaminade-Madonna in the past, but not on Wednesday.

Lions two-way standout Edwin Joseph committed to Florida State on the first day of the Early Signing Period. Joseph, who picked the Seminoles over Miami, Auburn, Louisville and more, announced his decision at a signing ceremony at his school.

Joseph is rated a three-star prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is listed as the No. 29 athlete in the class.

Joseph has played both offense and defense for the Lions. At wide receiver, he had 661 yards and eight touchdowns entering Chaminade’s postseason bowl game against Nevada powerhouse Bishop Gorman.
