Miami's matchup against Florida State was the biggest game they had up to this point in the season. It was their ACC opener, and the Hurricanes needed a big win to show they are the team to beat in the conference, and they did just that against the Seminoles.

The Hurricanes were led yet again by quarterback Carson Beck, who has been a highlight for Miami this season. Beck, since transferring from Georgia over the offseason, has shown a new side to his play, and Miami fans are very happy about it.
