'Canes take break, visit with patients at Holtz Children's Hospital

After six straight days of on-field work, the Hurricanes got a chance to rest their bodies on Wednesday.

And they spent part of their morning still on their feet, walking from room to room at Miami’s Holtz Children’s Hospital during an hour-long visit with young patients, some of whom are dealing with terminal illnesses. Joining the players were Miami’s coaches and members of the football staff.

It was an eye-opening experience for the Hurricanes, said safety Dallas Crawford, who laughed when describing the reaction of one little football player when he met Miami running back Gus Edwards.
