'Canes return to practice for first time since Golden fired

The Hurricanes returned to the practice field Tuesday morning for the first time after an emotional weekend that saw them suffer the worst loss in program history, the firing of their coach, and injuries to multiple key players, including quarterback Brad Kaaya.

Kaaya, the ACC passing leader, was knocked out of Saturday’s 58-0 loss to Clemson with a concussion. During his radio appearance Monday evening with WQAM-560, Hurricanes interim coach Larry Scott said the quarterback was still being evaluated by team doctors and undergoing protocol, as is receiver Rashawn Scott, who left the game late after taking a big hit to the shoulder area.
