I don’t really have the words anymore about Miami Hurricanes baseball under the tutelage of J.D. Arteaga. Other than truly disappointing, as usual.
That theme continued on Tuesday in the ACC tournament. After falling flat in the regular season finale to Notre Dame 12-2 to miss out on a bye, the 9-seed Hurricanes got their doors absolutely blown clean off by the last-place Cal Bears, losing 12-2 in the tourney’s opening game by eighth inning run rule.
Cal opened the scoring in the second with a two-run bomb to right off of Miami starter Griffin Hugus.
