Canes Hoops failed to win consecutive games in 2019 once again, as Miami squandered a 10-point lead with less than 2 minutes left to fall in Winston-Salem, 76-75. After building a 7-point lead in the first half, the Canes looked like they would run away with the game after widening their advantage to 13 points early in the second half behind the hot shooting of Chris Lykes, who would finish with a team high 26 points. After Dejan Vasiljevic knocked down a three-pointer with 10:39 left in the game, the Canes shots went ice cold, going 0 for 10 over the remainder of the contest.
