Canes fall in NCAA baseball tournament semifinal to Duke 8-2

The Miami Hurricanes fell to the Duke Blue Devils by the score of 8-2 in the ACC tournament semifinals on Friday evening, eliminating the Canes and effectively ending their 2024 season.

It was a game that was tight until the late stages. Miami got on the board first on a two-run home run in the fourth inning by, who else, Daniel Cuvet. And that’s all that Miami would get for the game. In fact, that home run was just one of two hits the Canes would muster for the game. A terrible time for the offense to completely go into a shell.
