The Miami Hurricanes made a late run at Lakeland standout wide receiver Tyler Williams, but it wasn’t enough to keep the star in the state of Florida.
The four-star wide receiver picked Georgia on Tuesday night, choosing the Bulldogs over offers from Miami, Clemson and more. He announced his decision on 247Sports’ YouTube channel.
“I feel like I can get developed,” Williams said on the broadcast. "I feel like [it is] the best environment. They probably have the best wide receiver room right now.”
Williams said he knew he would pick Georgia for more than a month.
