Avery Huff reporting to Miami Hurricanes gives LB depth a boost

The Miami Hurricanes depth at linebacker behind the return senior four-year starters Shaq Quarterman, Michael Pinckney and Zach McCloud is thin. Junior DeAndre Wilder left the football program last week and backups Bradley Jennings Jr. and Waynmon Steed have dealt with injuries.

Multiple reports expected freshman Avery Huff to report to the Hurricanes on Wednesday. Huff is one of two freshmen linebackers for the Miami Hurricanes with Sam Brooks. Huff, who prepped at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale was rated a four-stars when he signed as part of the Hurricanes 2019 recruiting class.

Huff is 6’3 200 pounds and he chose Miami over Florida State.
