CORAL GABLES — In his first two seasons at Miami, Fort Myers native Carson Palmquist grew into one of the best closers in the nation. Now, the Hurricanes will see if the preseason All-American can help anchor their rotation.
The third-year pitcher is part of the Hurricanes’ season-opening rotation, taking the hill for Miami on Saturday as the Hurricanes host Towson to start the 2022 season. Miami, which is 25th in Baseball America’s preseason rankings, opens its campaign at 7 p.m. on Friday night at Mark Light Field.
