After 38-10 statement win, Miami still slides in ESPN's Football Power Index

Despite a 38-10 win over Syracuse on Saturday, Miami dropped one spot to 13th in the ESPN Football Power Index. Miami remains the highest-rated ACC team in the ESPN FPI. SMU is the second-highest rated ACC team in the ESPN FPI at 23rd.

Miami is given a 50.6 percent chance to win out, a 3.6 percent chance to win the ACC and a 10.5 percent chance to make the College Football Playoff by the ESPN FPI. The ESPN FPI projects Miami to finish the 2025 season with 9.5 wins and 2.6 losses in its simulations.

Miami is 17th in the ESPN FPI in strength of record, has the 39th toughest strength of schedule, 58th remaining SOS, is 10th in game control and fifth in average in-game win probability.
