LeGendre and Matocha were the two main recruiting targets at quarterback in Surge ’19 for the Miami football program. LeGendre is much higher ranked in the Class of 2019 then Matocha is. The addition of Matocha gives the Hurricanes five scholarship quarterbacks on the roster for 2019.
Miami has Rising Redshirt Sophomores N’Kosi Perry and Cade Weldon and Rising Redshirt Freshman Jarren Williams returning from the 2018 roster. The Hurricanes added former Ohio State QB Tate Martell as a transfer earlier this month.
Martell’s eligibility for 2019 is in question. He will have to petition the NCAA to be able to play this season.
