Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt, who began his career at Michigan State, is not likely to return to Tempe in 2026, per Steve Wiltfong and Pete Nakos of On3. Leavitt transferred to Arizona State after the 2023 season with Michigan State and led the Sun Devils to the 2024 Big XII title and a College Football Playoff berth. Leavitt played in only seven games in 2025 after being ruled out for the season with a foot injury that will require surgery and ended his year. As a redshirt sophomore, Leavitt has the option of entering the 2026 NFL Draft.
