Heading into his junior season it is time for Jonathan Ford to become a key contributor for the Miami football team at defensive tackle. Pat Bethel is the only defensive tackle on the Miami roster who has had significant playing time in the Manny Diaz’s system.
Ford has recorded nine tackles and two TFLs in two seasons. Ford had eight tackles and both TFLs in 2018. He needs to be far more productive for Miami in 2019. Bethel will be one starter at defensive tackle for Miami in 2019. Ford, rising sophomore Nesta Silvera and graduate transfer Chigozie Nnoruka will battle at the other DT.
