Russell Maryland won national championships with the Miami football team in 1987 and 89 and three Superbowls with the Dallas Cowboys during his NFL career.

Russell Maryland is one of the most dominant defensive linemen in the history of the Miami football program. Maryland was an anchor on the Hurricanes defensive line during the 1987 and 1989 National Championship teams. As a senior in 1990 Maryland had 96 tackles, 19 QB pressures and10.5 sacks.

Maryland topped off his Miami football career and senior season by becoming the first Miami football player to be awarded the Outland Trophy as the best defensive lineman in college football.
