Donaldson became the fourth Miami football player in two seasons to be named a True Freshman All-American. Wide receiver Ahmmon Richards and linebackers Michael Pinckney and the man Donaldson shares a number with Shaq Quarterman were ESPN True Freshmen All-Americans in 2016.
After playing out of position last season Donaldson is returning to tackle in 2018. He will replace Tyree St. Louis at right tackle. St. Louis was moved to left tackle to replace K.C. McDermott who graduated. McDermott had been moved from left guard to left tackle last season.
The likelihood is that Donaldson will be moved to left tackle in 2019 to replace St.
