McCloud’s compatriots at linebacker, Shaq Quarterman and Michael Pinckney have produced more stats and gotten more accolades in their first two seasons playing on the Miami football team.
Quarterman and Pinckney finished in the top five on the Hurricanes in tackles in each of their first two seasons. McCloud was seventh in 2016 and 10th in 2017.
Quarterman and Pinckney were named to True Freshman All-American team in 2016. They have also received ACC honors. Quarterman was named third-team All-ACC as a Freshman in 2016 and the second-team last season. Pinckney was named honorable mention in 2017.
