Scaife joins a Miami football team seemingly in need of an upgrade on the offensive line. The Hurricanes offensive line struggled mightily this spring. Miami Head Coach Mark Richt repeatedly said throughout the Spring that the Hurricanes offensive line was the UM unit that needed the biggest infusion of talent.
Listed as an offensive lineman, Scaife seems to have a versatile enough future to play guard or tackle. Scaife is projected as a guard by 247Sports.Com and at tackle by Rivals.Com. Rivals ranks Scaife as the sixth-best offensive tackle, the 14th-best player in Florida and 61st-best recruit in the nation.
