100 Greatest Plays In Miami History: #37-Brandon Meriweather Hit vs Louisville 2004

In the mid-2000’s, Brandon Meriweather and Kenny Phillips ruled the secondary for Miami as one of best duo’s at that position in school history.

In 2004, the Louisville Cardinals, ranked #17, came to the Orange Bowl on a Thursday night to try and upset the #3 Hurricanes.

The Cardinals actually came out firing, and held a 24-7 lead in the second half. Though, Brock Berlin staged another comeback.

Down 24-14, Meriweather and the defense tried to hold Louisville the best they could.

Unfortunately for Cardinals tight-end Adam McCauley, he was in the wrong spot at the wrong time, as Meriweather absolutely destroyed him.
