Missing both Goran Dragic and Dwyane Wade to injury, the Miami Heat (23-20) were in no position to hang with the Washington Wizards (20-21) Wednesday. To make matters worse, Hassan Whiteside went down with a strained left oblique during the second quarter and did not return.
The Heat simply just didn’t have enough, as this road stint continues to take its toll on the roster.
Without its main playmakers, Erik Spoelstra and the Heat tried to initiate things on offense through Chris Bosh on the elbow. However, the Heat simply didn’t have enough quality perimeter shooting to give Bosh enough quality outlets or space.
