GAINESVILLE (CBSMiami) — NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal went out of his way to shoot some hoops with some kids in Gainesville — and the officer that brought them all together.
Shaq got involved in the fun after seeing a viral video of the Gainesville cop who decided to join a group of kids playing basketball, instead of reprimanding them about a neighbor’s noise complaint.
When they were done playing, Officer Bobby White, now known as the “Basketball Cop,” told the kids he’d bring backup for the next game.
