A Pompano Beach man is facing 16 charges following a collision with a motorcycle that left the rider with a broken back and his female passenger battered, according to Fort Lauderdale police.
Michael Shane Fillmore, 63, was drunk at the wheel of a silver Nissan Maxima in the 900 block of State Road A1A about 6:10 p.m. on April 19, police said.
According to the arrest report, security camera video shows the Nissan speeding east on Northwest Ninth Street and rear-ending the motorcycle then running a red light at State Road A1A and crashing into vehicles that were in the intersection.
