MIAMI, September 11 – Miami HEAT President and Hall of Famer Pat Riley will present University of Kentucky head coach John Calipari for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2015. The induction ceremony will be hosted tonight at Springfield Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts. Riley will co-present alongside fellow Hall of Famer Larry Brown (’02).
Calipari’s career includes six trips to the Final Four, four of them with Kentucky (2011, 2012, 2014, 2015). In 2012, Calipari led Kentucky to its eighth NCAA Tournament Championship, the first title of his career.
In January 2015, Riley announced a new collaboration between the AmericanAirlines Arena and the Basketball Hall of Fame to host the first-ever Hoophall Miami Invitational, a premier college basketball showcase on Friday, November 27, 2015.
