The Miami Heat say guard Goran Dragic will miss about a week after an MRI on Thursday revealed a mild left calf strain.
Dragic had been sent home from the team's road trip Wednesday. He believes he suffered the injury during Miami's loss to the Golden State Warriors on Monday but was uncertain exactly when in the game the strain occurred.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said initial tests performed Tuesday in Los Angeles, where the team had the day off, confirmed there was no tear in the calf.
Before his injury, Dragic had scored in double digits in eight straight games, including 22 against the Phoenix Suns last Friday as the Heat beat his former team 103-95.
