Miami Heat guard Victor Oladipo has opted to have season-ending surgery on his right quadriceps tendon, the team announced Wednesday.

Oladipo will have surgery Thursday in New York. The team said there currently is no timetable for his recovery and return.

Oladipo ruptured his right quadriceps tendon in 2019 while playing for the Indiana Pacers. He missed a full calendar year and has appeared in only 52 regular-season games since.

Oladipo has been out since injuring his right knee in Miami's win over the Los Angeles Lakers on April 8.
