The Miami Heat are a team known for player development and scouting. Although and like every other team in the league, they have had a few players not live up to their draft slot or potential in a Heat uniform(see Michael Beasley), they tend to get more right than wrong while also being able to mine a few more gems than most other teams around the league.
This season they were able to hit again. They landed Kendrick Nunn on the last day of last season, signing him away from the Warriors G-League program, while signing manchild Chris Silva as an undrafted rookie free agent this past July.
