After being sent to the D-League Wednesday, Josh Richardson will rejoin the Miami Heat Sunday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
Richardson is a second-round pick out of Tennessee who is on a guaranteed contract. He figures to at least be a part of the team’s short term future. Richardson did not fly back with the team after Tuesday’s loss in Memphis to the Grizzlies and, instead, caught a flight to join the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Richardson will be with the Skyforce for their game in Ontario Saturday.
While the rookie guard specializes on defense, he still has a lot of work to do on offense.
