Even though the Miami Heat started the game by making 16 of 24 shots, that was about as good as they looked, being out-paced and out-shot by the Houston Rockets–a team well practiced at playing fast–by the end of the night.
With the Rockets were missing Dwight Howard to suspension and the Heat missing Hassan Whiteside to an oblique injury, the night was ready made for a small ball show. And so it was, with both teams scoring upwards of 100 points.
However, the night got away from the Heat. And so did the ball. That is, 17 times, compared to 11 turnovers for Houston.
