Miami Heat blow 16-point lead, drop third straight in route to Clippers

Well, much like a struggling actor in Hollywood, the Miami Heat’s trip to Los Angeles did not go as planned. With Blake Griffin still out, the Heat had a realistic chance to steal a much-needed win on the west coast, but the Clippers proved themselves the superior team.

The Heat entered the halftime with a modest seven point lead, but the Clippers quickly turned things around with a dominating third quarter, outscoring the Heat 34-17. This loss puts the Heat tied with the Indiana Pacers for the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, which puts them 6.5 games back of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
