Josh Richardson: ‘I’m capable of being a great player’

ESPN’s Zach Lowe has called Josh Richardson the Miami Heat’s best player. Now the former 2015 second-round pick has his own goal: to make the All-Star team.

In an article by the Sun-Sentinel’s Ira Winderman, Richardson said that he’s “capable of being a great player in this league.” He mentioned that he wants to have the ball in more isolation situations and improve his offensive consistency.

Richardson’s own outlook mirrors what Lowe wrote about the Heat in his mid-season profile of the team, when the ESPN senior writer said, “some within the Heat are optimistic he can be a two-way star — something that would change their entire long-term picture.
