Heat trim roster to 14, convert Macon to two-way contract

The Miami Heat announced Saturday that they have exercised the two-way player conversion option in Daryl Macon’s contract. They also waived Kyle Alexander, Skyler Flatten, Bubu Palo and Davon Reed to bring their current roster down to 14 players ahead of the season opener, plus the pair of two-way contracts of Macon and Chris Silva.

Macon signed with the Heat on September 20 and appeared in four preseason games totaling 13 points on 5-12 shooting (41.7%), two rebounds and two assists in 31:43 minutes of action.
