Heat to lose second-round pick for Kyle Lowry sign-and-trade infraction

Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the NBA opened up a tampering investigation into the Miami Heat’s sign-and-trade deal for Kyle Lowry on Aug. 7. Today, the NBA finally handed down the punishment — a lost second-round pick.

ESPN Sources: The NBA will make Chicago and Miami forfeit their next available second-round draft pick over findings in probe into early contact in summer free agency. Probe was centered on Lonzo Ball and Kyle Lowry sign and trades.
