MIAMI -- Justise Winslow was reluctant to admit it.
But, yes, he did have a Dwyane Wade jersey among the few NBA replicas he wore as a kid.
"Just don't tell D-Wade, though," Winslow requested recently as a rare public smile escaped from his usually stoic expression.
If Winslow grew up admiring any of the NBA superstars he's facing each week as a 19-year-old rookie, the Miami Heat forward refuses to show it. Winslow doesn't do awestruck. The only thing more stubborn about him than that is his advanced talent as a wing defender.
