Heat reviewing Meyers Leonard use of anti-Semitic slur in video

Meyers Leonard has played Call of Duty on livestreams since joining the Miami Heat last season. Now, that has landed the center in hot water.

Leonard used an anti-Semitic slur during a livestream today, prompting immediate criticism.

A spokesperson for the Heat said that they are reviewing the video. The team’s managing general partner, Micky Arison, is Jewish. Miami is also home to a large Jewish population.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass, also released a statement saying that the league unequivocally condemns all forms of hate speech.
