Everything is in place for Davion Mitchell to have the best season of his career thus far with the Miami Heat. Perhaps most importantly, he'll finally get a fair opportunity to emerge as the full-time starting point guard for the Heat, something that every young player dreams about when they make the jump to the Association.
Throughout the first few years of his career, Mitchell has gotten some sparse starts. However, he's never really had the chance to be the everyday starter. That will change heading into the start of training camp.
Assuming that the Heat will want to stagger Norman Powell and Tyler Herro, probably bringing the former off the bench, that will naturally open up a spot for Mitchell to emerge as the starting point guard.
