MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) — Miami Heat legend Alonzo Mourning hosted the 2nd annual Zo’s Winter Groove Friday for more than 400 high school students across Miami-Dade County.
Along with his Mourning Family Foundation, Zo kicked off the inaugural Youth Summit Groove along with comedians Chico Bean and Darren Brand from season 7 of Nick Cannon’s Wild N’ Out, at the Lou Rawls Center for Performing Arts on the campus of Florida Memorial University.
The event gives students a chance to have fun and engage in conversation about things like career and education opportunities, sports, social media distractions, bullying and other hot topics trending in today’s culture.
