After a surprising injury to Haywood Highsmith, Miami Heat fans must be extremely bullish about his future with the team moving forward. To be honest, it's difficult to blame them (and the front office) if this is how they really feel.
Highsmith is expected to miss up to two months after undergoing surgery to repair his meniscus. That timeline will place him out until the start of training camp, if not longer. At this point, there's a chance he could miss the start of the regular season for the Heat.
That could be considered a significant loss for the team, especially on the defensive end of the floor.
