The Miami HEAT fell to the Washington Wizards 106-87 Wednesday night at Verizon Center. Chris Bosh led the way for the HEAT with 18 points.
1. Deng Steps Up
While Miami was down a number of key contributors, Luol Deng had a strong performance. With Washington up double-digits early, Deng responded and went on a personal 8-0 run to close out the first quarter and bring the HEAT within four points. Later, the former Blue Devil opened the second half pretty well with a corner three and a free throw after craftily drawing a foul on a mid-range jumper.
