Miami Heat starting point guard Goran Dragic has reportedly decided to opt in for the final year of his contract.

As reported by the Athletic, Dragic has decided to already inform the Heat of his intentions ahead of the deadline to exercise his $19.2 million player option later this month. The team can now include him in any deal, though he has expressed a desire to stay with Miami long-term.

Though he only played in 36 games last season due to injury, Dragic, 33, remains a vital piece of the team when healthy but could appeal to playoff-hopeful NBA teams looking for a steady veteran on an expiring contract.
