The Miami Heat announced Tuesday that they have called up guard Matt Williams Jr. from the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Miami’s affiliate team in the developmental league.

Williams and forward Derrick Walton Jr. are the Heat’s players on two-way contracts, which allow teams to sign players to 16th and 17th roster spots. Those players can play up to 45 days with their NBA teams, primarily residing with the G League team. Both players are currently with the team.

The Heat faced their toughest challenge yet last night, playing without Goran Dragic, James Johnson, Justise Winslow and Hassan Whiteside against the Atlanta Hawks.
