Dion Waiters is very close to a return. After undergoing ankle surgery almost a full year ago, Dion is set to make his return on Sunday against the Timberwolves. With the Heat playing tonight, it doesn’t leave much time for practice so Dion will join the Sioux Falls Sky Force Heat G-League affiliate for some extra reps.
According to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, Waiters will take part in practice sessions Friday and Saturday. Waiters has achieved his body weight and fat goal and is ready to get back on the court.
