Bosh, Wade reportedly agree to contracts with Heat, LeBron in works

In a breaking item in Heat rumors and news on this first day of NBA free agency, the Oregonian's John Canzano is reporting that Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have agreed to multi-year contracts to remain with the Miami Heat - adding that LeBron James is currently working towards a short-term deal with the franchise.

Here's Canzano with the story:

LeBron James is seeking a one or two year contract with the Miami Heat at maximum-dollar value per year, a source told The Oregonian on Tuesday.

James would maintain future flexibility and stand alone as the highest paid player on his roster for the first time in his 11-year NBA career should he sign that deal.

Heat teammate Chris Bosh has agreed in principal to a five-year contract extension with Miami that would pay him $11 million in the first year, the source confirmed. Further, Heat teammate Dwyane Wade has agreed to re-sign in Miami for four years, beginning at $12 million in year one.

If Wade and Bosh have indeed accepted the terms of the deals noted above, it would mark a large pay cut for both stars - enough for the Heat to make a legitimate run at a fourth marquee free agent on the open market.

It should be noted that this has not been officially confirmed by either the team or other major news outlets - with most reports indicating that Bosh and Wade are willing to take such pay cuts, but haven't actually done so as of yet.
